Catching Up

I've been fascinated with 'points' lately. It all started with one of Jude's posts. I had lots of dreams last night about designing with points and when I woke up this morning, I jumped out of bed and quickly put one of the ideas down on paper.

now to work it up in cloth
I've been working with some of my shibori dyed silk with inspiration from Jude's Whispering Sun, Moon and Stars class. Did a personal constellation on the green and just gathering things together now to see what will work.

My moon now has a face of sorts. The pattern in the weaving obscures some of the embroidery which gives the face more interest, I think. Go here to see the 'before' picture.

I did a little weaving for a quilting friend. I've decided to send these little weavings from now on instead of greeting cards. I guess I will need to plan ahead.

And...

made a new basket that will carry my bobbin lace supplies to class
Some of you asked me to post the results of the leaf weavings I did a while back. Two were outside drying and basically fell apart. The little basket dried inside and did not change color much but it's quite flimsy and basically, useless, but it was fun to do.

not very successful but fun
