a velvet heart just for color. wove around the weaving with some linen thread. |
did some stitching on this little one--just around the edges |
beginnings of a basket |
added a couple of strips of cloth for color and to hold it in place |
i like the irregularity of the top (bottom here) |

This is wonderful, Deanna! So full of spring and new growth.
thanks, Yvonne. still have some leaves on the table so going to do some more with fabric.
Deanna, this is the coolest basket! I hope it dries just right. These remind me of both the Brigid's cross and the palm leaf weaving handed out on long ago Palm Sundays. And I heart the weaving with the red heart.
well, deanna, i wonder what you will do next?! it seems every time i look here, there's a whole new skill you've tackled. love the basket, it's growing up the sides, i expect flowers to bloom out the ends.
oh cindy, wouldn't it be nice to have flowers blooming in this basket. maybe i'll fill it with flowers from the garden when it's complete.
You can use anything for basket weaving. It makes us appreciate even more of our environment! Lovely shape - Hugs Nat
Fantastic!
There you go ☞ thinking out of the ☐ once
again!
I certainly hope you share your fabric/leaf
weaving once it dries. this is going to
be great!
thanks, cristina. i sure will share it. hope it holds its shape.
Quite the essence of Spring, your basket...
this is amazing Deanna....can we see it when it's finished??
Deanna I love this...you are so inspiring! The mix of fabric and the bulb leaves. It will be interesting to see in a few months time.
