and a bigger "OH!" so much to look at- the colors are rich, the texture of the nine-patch stitching, the yarn being woven, couched and braided...and again, that beautiful shibori. really like all that is going on.
Ha I know what you mean about finishing projects before the next class...is that possible! Your heartbeats cloth is very emotional for me..conveys alot about hearts, life, our beating hearts and the fragility of that.
It is a bit eery I have to admit, with all its in-flux and out-flux (which seems quite a mystery, as the untouched hearts appear as bright and healthy as they are unpertubed...;)
thank you all for your kind comments. this one will be cut up into pieces that may be used elsewhere. i actually posted it only because some fellow whisperers wanted to see it when it was complete.
Honestly, Deanna, I could see the beating hearts hanging in a gallery. It's mystifying. I can almost hear the shh-shshing of beating hearts when I look at it. Maybe it's eerie to you because it's so very different. It's not to me!
I'm thinking I'll have to combine woven boro and hearts with suns, moons & stars now cuz nothing's finished!
Your 'Beating Hearts' is very interesting and unique and I like that. If I felt that a piece of mine was eery I would be interested to figure out why and think it could take me somewhere deeper.
Hi Deanna the beating hearts have music in them they flow in a rhythm and I love the way they continue beyond the cloth, makes me feel that the song goes on!
