Moonglow in progress

This moon piece was started here. It reminds me of the times when the sun is setting and you can also see the moon. Haven't seen that in a long time but it is in my memory. This moon does have a face penciled in but have not stitched it yet. The idea for the diamonds came from looking at the video of the Cosmati Pavement in Westminster Abbey. I made a pattern to cut out the buildings in the little village below the moon. The bottoms are just basted down because I'm not yet sure what will happen in that area. All suggestions are welcome. I also think that my stars (thread beads) are not the right color. They have no life to them as they are. Just sharing my thoughts and images as I progress through this piece. Lots of stitching planned.
