blue is the color lately...

The scrim smocking piece is finished. Did a bit of free motion stitching on the scrim to give a lace like frame and backed it with some blue hand dyed cotton.

scrim smocking    6" square

And doing a bit of crocheting...

a necklace that will have some pearl beads added at the bottom

Hi, Deanna. Your scrim piece is so elegant and I love the crocheted necklace. Your dyeing experiments a few posts back are interesting as always and the cameo stitched onto fabric is a brilliant idea. Looks so neat!
best, nadia

Beautiful. That necklace is really nice. Would fit as a nice fringe in a cloth too.

Your scrim smocking looks delicate and the blue really shows it off - nice work! And I like your crochet necklace too - I recently bought a knit necklace - it's very loosely knit and is a double loop over my head. I like the idea of a soft necklace.
