scribbling on my playground...

my magic cloth has become a kind of playground. when i get tired of playing in one area, i move on to another. trying to reveal the inner layers of things, the essence. peeling away the layers, one at a time.

invisible to the naked eye but there just the same

a hidden web and some scribbling with the magic thread

a split personality or the beauty within???

just the beginning of embellishment. more soon.

is that silk velvet? did you dye it yourself?
the B&W looks good, always an eye popper.

What a great project! A flat open journal, so to speak.

Deanna...The idea of a cloth being a playground...just love that way of thinking...must write that down...might quote you one day.

So many fun details! I think you and I are both similar in that we like to work in many spaces and different ways at the same time. :)

Love to see this entire piece as one. Is it a large cloth?

hi Ingrid. the cloth will probably wind up being about 48" square but I'm adding pieces from the inside out so not all there yet. go here for an earlier view of part of it:

I was trying to find a larger view too :)
It's interesting to see your hexies...and what you've chosen to do with them! I like!

Can see how you enjoy the artwork. So leisure doing it. I do love stitching after seeing your work.
