Jude mentioned in one of her lessons that it's nice to have a large cloth around when you're not working on it. The magic beast cloth I'm working on hangs over a comfy chair when I'm not stitching on it. I like to see it when I pass by. I also get lots of different ideas as I look at it each time. The very beginning stage was hard but things are moving along now. I kind of know where I'm going next. This is just the center so it will be a project I'll be working on for a long time. Can you spot
Otis? Click on the image for a closer view.

feathers are everywhere--that bulge on the right is actually the lions paw. still needs lots of stitching. |

I spotted Otis's leg kicking out!
I have all my quilt pieces/cloths hanging in my room and I wake up looking at them. I do enjoy seeing them and I know one day they will "become" something more.
I think I see Otis : )

It's lovely to see this cloth again. Mine is tucked away somewhere to make room for something else - Hugs Nat
Love this partly-revealing "Otis"--and the colors of this large piece are electric!--I followed the links back to their beginning. How do you do that (embed a link to an old post in a new one? And how do I embed Jude's magic feather in the left side of my blog so it stays there?--if you know how to tell me...do.)
Deanna, I see him and I just love his socks!
I have lots of cloths hanging over chairs. They brighten my day and are very calming too.
Can't miss those socks! Is that the original Otis? Or have you created a new Otis?
Penny,
not sure what you mean about original Otis....he will appear here and there in many places. most likely just parts of him because he is shy. he is dieing to get into one of those feather pieces. he says his black and white socks could
be part of a feather. i'm considering his request.
Oh yes, feather meets Otis! I think that would be wonderful. Your cloth is beautiful and gives me hope that I might eventually get one created.;)
he's convinced me Jeannie. i'm working on it. and i know you can create one. just start at the beginning.
Those colors glow with the black and white feather mane--very cool.
Made me smile... I need to pull one of my "in progress" quilts off my bed and make some more stars. :)
