The Shift and more...

The ideas keep coming from Jude and my other classmates. I've wanted to learn how to do 'the shift' for a long time, ever since I saw it in one of Jude's quilts. I think that's my favorite, so far. Have I said that before??? so many favorites... I was trying to organize all the fabric that is strewn all over the house and came across these bits and pieces of wool and cotton strips, so more experimenting resulted. The fabric has yet to be organized. Click on image for a closer view.

Hi Deanna, the weave and shift looks great and the other ones too. I would like you to see some of my too. I didn't know you when I did this class. I made a cute pincushion from one of a piece and everybody likes it. It was a giveaway at the end of the workshop. A basket was for Jude. Have a look here: http://notjustnat.blogspot.com/2010/06/busy-week-blogger-friend-to-meet.html Tell me what you think - Hugs Nat

It is fun to see what you have begun and look forward to seeing where you go with this fun art. I have always loved the fabric arts but am trying to stay focused on the other 18 mediums I am involved with, for now ;-}
