Chenille Quilt finished

This was a fun project that started here.  It is so soft and cuddly and I hope Skye will love it as much as I do. I've got lots of scraps left over and will be making a small cloth for myself.  I managed to make the whole thing with fabric I had in my stash.  It measures 36" x 40" and is tied in places to the back.
I guess I should also have said that the kitten pieces are cross-stitched pieces that my sister gave me. They were kits she was working on but never finished so I just used the parts that were completed.
Here are a few pics.

The texture of chenille is so inviting to the touch. I imagine that Skye will spend many hrs cuddled under this special quilt, running her fingers up and down and telling stories to the frolicking kittens. The kitten cloth pieces are delightful.

Oh Skye will treasure it. How soft it looks. I love how you used off cuts and found fabrics in your projects. I do that all the time, it challenges me to create with what I have on hand. I only buy fabric form op-shops and vintage pieces these days. I will show my dyed pieces soon - so look out!
Have a great creative day Deanna - Hugs Nat

Wow, what a lovely quilt! So tactile and squishy.
Thank you for the lovely comment. I have two cats as well but they won't allow me to take their photo. They must be camera shy.
Much love x

What a lovely idea to use those unfinished cross stich kitties of your sisters. I think Skye's imagination will run wild under this quilt.
