lush velvet...

Unwrapped the three copper pipe bundles but the only one I love is the lush velvet. This started out as white silk velvet wrapped with rose leaves around a copper pipe.

And this thrift store dress from back here is finally a wearable blouse. I extended the sleeves and they are now a perfect length. I did wear it yesterday.

sleeves made longer and have lots of extra fabric to play with

And Mo sent me this wonderful card with my inital, D. It is a page from the book she did as a collaboration. Check out all the pages and the story available in her shop here.

a gift from Mo

Such great colour variations in the velvet! And your shibori dress makeover is a grand success - you must feel so much pleasure wearing it in all it's blue beauty. I love the card from Mo, too - a real treasure.

Wow - your blouse looks fabulous - for only $5 + some work AND you have all the extra skirt material to play with. What a great find!

Your rust dyeing is also quite gorgeous. :-)

Yum! Eye candy of the best sort! Your velvet and blouse are gorgeous. Mo's artwork is fabulous and the words that go with the letters are so funny.

Great job on the dress redo into a top! Mo's letter D is so interesting, nice of her to send it to you.
The velvet takes my breath away it is so very pretty!
When you wrap the textiles to a copper pipe...do you clean the pipe where it was used before or just wrap again and hope for some added surprise factor?
