this and that...
first bulbs to bloom
crocheting an open foundation for weaving
next 3 pics are of the wrappings that have been around trees and rocks for the last 6 months. no dramatic changes. the fabric pieces will be washed and used in future dye pots.
I have been wanting to wrap cloth on tree, but I don't have one that's suitable for it. It's good that you can over dye them again. The crochet foundation looks great. Looking forward to see you weave on it - Hugs Nat
i've visited your tree wrapping blog. . . so at one with nature idea. went out to grab some wood from the stack the other day. about 3 yrs ago I covered the top with a long piece of canvas. gosh, now i see this cloth with a whole other pair of eyes! it now owns natures marks here and there. wish it wasn't so thick of a fabric. ????? perhaps. . . .
cristina, that's a nice surprise to see that your canvas has nature's markings. would probably be hard to stitch on it by hand, but you could always use the machine to embellish.
I did some wrapping around trees earlier this year ..... result were pretty poor. Not much colouration at all which is a shame. A couple of your pieces look quite good though Deanna...I should try again???
i have a piece of cloth around a pine tree (can't rembember the name) but the bark is always falling and it is good for paper making as i was told! have to leave this cloth there for 6 more months or so, will see what happens!! wonder what my neighbors think but don't care.

the crochet foundation looks wonderful, so rich. I can't wait to see how the weaving alters it. I hope you had a lovely birthday.
