almost finished with these. They were fast and easy. It's mostly knit and the edges are crocheted. I wanted to use some of my colorful beads but the yarn wouldn't pass through the small holes.

just a little slot on the side for my thumb |

love having the use of my fingers when wearing gloves |
If you would like the pattern it's
here. Scroll down to pattern #222. I think it calls for a sport yarn but I used a worsted weight. You might have to sign up to enter the site, but it's free and there are lots of nice patterns. It's the 'Knit and Crochet Now' site. They also have a tv show where they demonstrate different patterns and stitches each week.

Thank you for sharing the link, Deanna. I'm very new to knitting so I appreciate learning about this website. Love the look of your gloves...subtle, but with some bling!
Well, these are just great - elegant and functional. Thanks for the tip about the crochet site.
very cool, and i love the touch of beads. i'll zip over there now, thanks
those are so cute, deanna! do you also know about ravelry & the pattern search there? i just love being able to put in information & having ideas pop up that i can store in my queue.
i have to run to mom's but i WILL look at the pattern. these a wonderful. i like the "leaf" pattern in the center. oh these have so many uses that i can think of besides the warmth they are fashionable and fabulous. really came out well. enjoy the weekend...
Your gloves are beautiful, Deanna. Thanks for the link. I have been wearing my gloves all week and realized that perhaps I need a couple more pairs. It is nice to have the fingers free, but still keeping the hands warm.
I love the addition of beads, what a good idea.
These are great! I wore fingerless gloves on my commute so I could eat breakfast in the car!!!
I like the kind with the flip over flap for the fingers. I've made them for the grandkids but not for me yet!
It's amazing, the difference that warm wrists make, isn't it!
Deanna, Next time you have some beads that don't want to fit over the yarn. buy some "bridge cleaners" from the dental section (they look like tiny blue soap bubble toy shape)you loop the yarn in the hole and then pass the blue thing thru the bead and the yarn gets threaded. Been using them for years for all kinds of fibers. Ifr you can't find them, let me know and i can send you some. rzhs@intouchmi.com
I have a bit of an obsession with fingerless gloves...so many pairs in y special draw. My mum goes mad when I wear them saying they offer no warmth but I love them
