stitching on this and that...

Was stitching a patchwork feather to send to Jude for the Magic Feather Project and, while I was stitching, the ghost of the bird appeared. It will be in the mail tomorrow.

September's feather for Jude

The embroidered pillow is stitched and just needs to be stuffed.

The last lesson in Karen's class was ruching. I just did a small section to learn the technique. Not sure yet where this piece will be used.

Both projects are beautiful. Love the color of the feather block, it must be the color of indigo that drawn to me - Hugs Nat

Wow - you have done such beautiful work, here - love how you've stitched the ruching and the pillow is exquisite. That bird appeared for a reason - you are flying!

Deanna, the ghost bird is perfectly genius. Love how that appeared in your mind's eye.

The pillow is beautiful, I can't believe how fast you made it. Banish grape juice and red wine within 20 feet.

Glad that things have calmed down in TX, I was watching for you to post again, then I knew you were OK!

I've followed all you've done in Karen class and everything is wonderful. Congratulations for the work! I much liked the cross stitch, the web stitch (cause I didn't know it) and also the ruching.
Greetings.

That pillow is so very pretty Deanne. I almost signed up for that workshop myself but decided I should complete some of the things I have on the go first....lol

Very elegant sampler pillow! Your work is so meticulous, just very beautiful. I think often of central Texas because I listen to classical KMFA--glad to hear that temperatures are slowly dropping.
best, nadia
