new background piece with silk velvet, linen and lace. the linen is a pale pink and the silk velvet a dusty pink. couldn't get the true color in the photo. it measures 10" x10". |
measures 6" x 8". |
that web stitch has become my favorite. I have placed a bead at the center of each web stitch. |
I think you can see the center bead in the web stitch here. |
I used a variegated pink and white perle thread here for the web stitch. |

so much beauty and passion tied up in these threads! my favorite bit, though, is the little tangle of delicate sheer with the web stitch. delightful!!

And the lucky winner over at Nat's!
Finally had a minute to look back orver posts I might have missed. I'm so glad I caught this one. Your hand work just gets better and better. This is a lovely string of detail indeed!
These are so beautiful Deanna. You must let me know next time Karen put on another workshop - Hugs Nat
It is always inspiring to visit your blog....these are beautiful
Web stitch on 'the web'! I like the texture of the scrunched fabric.
Wow, Deanna, these are gorgeous photos! I, too, love the way the sheer is sort of draped in under the web stitches -- what do you call that, it's so pretty? And the avocado pink, well that silk velvet loves avocado, doesn't it? It's wonderful!
the last photo... the pink webs... so beautiful. the smoothness and uniformity. remind me of my childhood in my pink room and sunday dresses :)
thank you all for your kind comments. working on cross stitched letters next. will post them soon. I'm so enjoying Karen's class.
