A continuation of all the wonderful things I'm learning in
Karen's class...
|
cross stitch on cloth using waste canvas |
|
cross stitch on a vintage hanky that was dyed with avocado skins |
|
damp stretching my sampler piece to remove all the wrinkles |
My sampler piece will be turned into a small pillow. It measures about 9" x 10". I'm anxious to try the cross stitching on some of the silk velvet that is on the
next piece I prepared.

This is beautiful Deanna, you've really done justice to Karen's teaching. Absolutely stunning.
Deanna, this piece is beautiful...
This is a similar size to a hankie.....
those cross stitches look perfect. the pink and gingham... memory lane again :)
Deanna, your hankie is gorgeous! I love how you incorporated so many stitches and details into one piece. It is going to make a beautiful pillow.
Deanna, you have taken off with this class, it's absolutely beautiful. You've been in the zone, I guess!!
It looks like fun. Glad you enjoying it - Hugs Nat

Just learned of the fires. How worrying, I hope you are safe.
Love your sampler piece Deanna, but I'm concerned about the fires.
Didn't know that, just learned about it over at Jude's : take care there all of you !!!
I've been thinking about you each time I see the news Deanna, and so stopping by to say that. And now to say this new work is so beautiful. Thinking good thoughts for you.
I so appreciate all your comments and your good thoughts concerning the fires in central texas. I'm feeling calmer today and hoping all will be well here and for others all over with so much tragedy in their lives.
