wandering...

My mind is wandering today. Can't seem to focus on any one thing. Trying to start on something for the Magic Diaries workshop but cannot settle on one thing. I unearthed some more moon pieces that I forgot about and really want to work on those but can't get started. I said that already, didn't I.  I guess I'll wait until some one thing settles in. It's just one of those days. I don't have these type days very often. Wish I knew why this happens so I could avoid it.

Hope your day was more productive than mine. Even the picture is out of focus.

I think it's bigger picture in magic diaries! I don't know how to pull together any one cloth, but I'm sure Jude can - hugs Nat

I'm having the same kind of day! There is fabric and trims and about 30 WIP all about my room and I can't figure out which one to pick up and play with!!!! My mind is like a little butterfly flitting around from flower to flower!

At this point, I'm not even trying to get it together for magic diaries project! Summer slows me down, and makes me forgetful. Beside which, I want to be out in the garden. Eventually I'll take a folding table outside and pull out my stuff to look at in the real light of day. I did some cutting outside last week for my machine sewn project, and that was pleasant.

I am glad I am not the only one with a hummingbird mind. I flit from one idea to the next. I finally just started sewing some 4 & 9 patches together in the hopes that an idea would solidigy. Beautiful pieces on your table to inspire you and I see Otis peeking out to say hi.

i think those days are part of the creative process... or weeks, months even! at least that's what i tell myself. and sometimes one just has to start stitching... the hands and heart know what the brain doesn't. xo

This the stage that always takes the longest time for me. Those days you are talking about come often here! Be gentle.

By now you've probably come through this feeling, Deanna, but I felt exactly the same way the past few days. I haven't even looked at the magic diaries page because I couldn't focus on even reading it! But that's where I'm going next. See you there!

I happens to us all....and remains mostly unexplained. I hope by now it has passed.

unfocused is just how i feel. trying to just go with it, writing down words & sketches. you have such a lot to work with here. if you just took one piece and stared at it would that help?

thanks, cindy. i'm back on track and have a good idea of what i'll be doing now. i'll be working on the orange piece first, i think. but who knows. i change my mind with the wind these days.

I too understand that place of not knowing. After pinning up many fabrics that I like, which work well together, I feel stuck too. Try to just roll with it. But I can see with all of your fabulous choices - it could be a challenge to choose! Good luck with the process.

Those days are just as valuable as the productive days, I think...besides Deanna, you are soooo darn productive all the rest of the time it's lovely to read that you are *human* too. ;>} Supersonic crafter is how I see you!

Thank you so much for your visits to and lovely comments on my blog. I hope you get your head together soon! I hate not being able to settle, although the moon pieces you've selected look fabulously tempting...

Hi there Deanna!
i've been carefully looking over
each piece in this photo . . .
my eye returned repeatedly to the
beige stitching with the sweet blue
circle in the center. Wow! WOW!
i love it! love the lines.......

the story on that one?
