cooler mornings....

and a promise of cooler days to come. It seems the Plumbago does best this time of year. Such a pretty blue.

Plumbago

Working on a couple of more hankies in SS5 with Karen Ruane....some of the hand dyed cloth is mine, some purchased from Deb Lacativa and the beautiful indigo blue shibori cloth was a gift from Jeannie Evans Van-Hoff quite awhile ago.

embellishing men's hankies
I am still working on my Downton Abbey knitted coat that I hope to finish by winter but we started a knit-a-long in knitting class so I'm also working on a Stitch Sampler Shawl. It can be found on Ravelry if you are inspired.

Stitch Sampler Shawl using Lion Brand's Amazing yarn

That's about it for this week. Have a great weekend.

Oh--I do miss the plumbago that used to pop up in the church garden before it was destroyed. It's such a specific blue and I adore it. Nice work...and I'm still looking forward to your Downton Abbey coat...looks like it may be ready just in time for the launch of the new season. Good timing.

Oh Deanna, everything here looks so beautiful. I love the direction the hankies are going and the green of the stitch sampler is so pretty. It's interesting to see all of those stitches side by side. Enjoy your time creating.

Such a nice grouping of colours to see today! I didn't know the name for that flower but have admired it so much (mainly because it's blue and that's a rarity among flowers).
