choices...

lots of choices this week on which project to pick up...
just finished a class on craftsy.com with Drucilla Pettibone and i'm getting better each day with my drop spindle. it's an excellent class if you're interested in learning how to spin your own yarn.

learning to spin
still working on my second pair of knitted socks. this time with the afterthought heel.

toe up sock

and dyeing with the purple carrots and the green tops...not much purple but the green tops gave nice markings, the copper pipe gave some green color and there are rose leaves scattered here and there. decided to embellish with some tatted bits and crochet an edge.

tatting and crochet edge

have a great weekend.

I just love how you dabble in so many different mediums. I also do, but you seem to work at warp speed compared to me. You are living the life!

Lovely! It's time for me to get back to socks. The floor is cold in the morning. :)

you learn so much, so many classes. It's great. I have a friend who spins her own yarn...a fabulous skill. I loved the dyed piece as soon as I saw it on facebook.

Wow - there is nothing that you cannot do! And so well. Beautiful yarn, eye-stopping socks, and amazing tatting. You are definitely an experimenter - and that will take you everywhere!

Always so fine to see all the types of work you do; now that I am a new eco-print.natural dye addict, i am especially interested in the carrot tops dyed wool; I don't know myself but I sure do appreciate your sock projects, especially this one!

Deanna, I was just looking at that class at Craftsy, saw your comment there, and was going to ask you about it. I'm really hoping that there's some spinning in my near future. I love your purple carrot cloth and the direction you're going with it. Happy feet!

You are learning a lot of skills! Like a little girl...

you are so multi-talented, and still learning new skills; it's great that an old and the new combine so well, like the tatting and the carrot-dyed fabric.

the edge gives the dyeing a nice edge, if you get my drift ;)

Ooooh, I've got a soft spot for tatting and tiny crochet (which I've done in the past). Yours is beautiful with the dyed fabric. Perfect.
best, nadia
