My latest interests....

We had a paper folding play day at Quilt Bee a couple of weeks ago and since then, nothing in my house is safe from becoming a little folder. They are so much fun to create and are nice to have in your purse to carry papers, lists, coupons, business cards, etc. They each have six pockets and I've added note paper to some of them.

If you would like to have one, leave a comment and I'll choose 2 names next Saturday and mail one out to each of the winners. Not sure yet which ones I'll mail out. I might even make some new ones.

The instructions for making them were in the Winter 2015 edition of Pages magazine put out by Cloth, Paper, Scissors.

all different sizes depending on the paper size you start with.

I printed on watercolor paper, used maps, napkins and wrapping paper.

an iron on transfer on newsprint, napkins, album page and moire fabric with lace.

I've also been playing with the light that comes through my kitchen window during the afternoons at this time of year.

Wishing you all who celebrate a Happy Thanksgiving. We have had our first really cold days this weekend and it feels good. Stay safe and enjoy whatever it is you are doing.

Wow Deanna, these are great! I like the HOPE one :) We could all use a bit of that these days! I just discovered 'maze' books, which also look fun to make.
I am Thankful for your friendship all of these years.
Take care, Nancy

I love paper folding. I am making a fabric folding Christmas ornament now--based on origami--very satisfying. I would love to win one of your paper foldings. Janet tight@rockisland.com

These look like fun Deanna. I wasn't aware that CPS had a new magazine out either. I love the prism photo - that's amazing! I've tried to get pictures of the prism that appears on our wall when the sun is just right but it never turns out. I don't think my camera is refined enough to get the image successfully.

What fun! It is always good to try something new and exercise those old brain muscles. Of course, my eyes focused on the stitched cloth in the background. I hung all my old prisms and sparkly bits in my workroom window, now I just need the sun. I have a small prism similar to your's. Have a wonderful week!

Looks like you had fun Deanna, they're beautiful, love the different effects you've got from different papers, and the lace is wonderful

My word you have been busy. These are great. They all look so lovely and you seem to have made little variations In the design of each one. And don't think I didn't spot the toile one in there. Well, ever the optimistic, I am putting my name down to win one but I will be looking up that magazine in the meantime. I have a few digital copies of it but not that one.

They are all fantastic, Deanna, and must have taken a lot of time to make. I love your stitched folder in the background - very effective - the transfer is pretty, and I especially like the blue folder. I'd love to win one, count me in!

That's a great picture of the prism - I'd definitely need a tripod to hold my camera steady for that one!

I love your "follow me" quilt, such gorgeous colours!

Have a lovely weekend!
