Another pouch completed. This one was started awhile ago and just got lost in the UFO pile. It's a small one but with lots of detailed stitching. It all started with a hanky and a piece of pink dupioni silk.

I'm making good headway on my bobbin lace tree. Almost 2/3 complete. Anxious to finish this one so I can start on something new. Braiding all those long threads into a tree trunk will be a challenge.

all those loose threads will be woven into a tree trunk. |
It's been a good week for so many reasons. Some hope restored for the future.
Hope you all have a great weekend.

Ha, a smiling musical instrument !!! Your lining looks really lovely !
WOW Deanna, that will be such a wonderful Tree (of life)
I love the little embroidered music notes I spied. I certainly have to be in awe of your bobbin lace - I'd have the lot in such a tangled up mess in no time.
That tree is just amazing! another wonderful pouch, love the lining and little pocket
a very pretty pouch and useful too. I so admire your bobbin lace, that is one technique that I know is way beyond me
I do like that pouch Deanna with its little wrinkley pocket.
A pretty pouch and beautiful cutwork! the tree looks so beautiful..lovely color. to keep the long threads without tangles must be a big issue..how do you manage to do that?
The tree will look fabulous when it is finished - well worth the trouble!
your lace is amazing!
A beautiful art-pouch - very, very pretty. And stunning for me what you had achieved up to now with bobbin lace. I am saying aaahhh - full of admiration!
That is a wonderful pouch! It is always such a good feeling to finish a UFO. Your bobbin lace is fantastic. I have done one very unimpressive little nothing in bobbin lace. You have inspired me to have another go at it. Thanks for leaving such a nice comment on my blog.
Love your latest pouch Deanna - especially the little gathered pocket. You've put some beautiful stitching into this one- the cut work you did is exceptional.
your pouch is exceptional Deanna, love all the extra details, the inner pocket, the ruffle....I am intrigued by your last sentence??
I love your pouch Deanna, with all its different aspects. I love that it has ruffles, musical notes, your own printed lining, a gathered tiny pocket, crocheted edging, cut work, and, forgive my ignorance, what are the long loopy bits called? Your lace is looking wonderful, mine is languishing still. Hope you are OK? Barbara xx
