the piano is finished...

now to create a setting for it in my journal....
click on the images for a close-up view.

a stitching done based on an abstract drawing i did many years ago

my bobbin lace pear with a weaving now has a place on another pouch.

stitched on brown velveteen

and a cotton lining

stitching on watercolor paper...

3 shades of pink floche thread
and a great find at the thrift store. it had several stains but i've been able to get all but one out. will have to work a bit harder on that last one. this will make a great light throw. it measures 52" x 64".

we've had some rain here for the past couple of days and spring is on its way. i'm anxious to plant some seeds and flowers.

you can almost hear the music in the background. and the bag - so precious, very handsome. sometimes it just being in the right place/time to find things in the thrift shop. you certainly will have a lot of fabric to repurpose or use in project. i happened up a beautiful tablecloth once just wandering around in the men's department which i never to looking in - someone had just tossed it over a rack - guess they had second thoughts - so grabbed it out got out of there! raining here too and slightly warmer - almost 49 but that might just be about right for march...snow is definitely melting away. another visual treat, deanna...lovely shots.

Stunning design of the piano!! I can hardly wait to plant as well. Warm day yesterday. I wanted to un- bury all my herbs, but held back.

The piano block is so cool, great work Deanna. That white cloth from the thrift store was a good find. You can't pass it up can you? Nice to have some rain. We need some here badly for indigo plants - Hugs Nat

So much lovely stuff going on here. The piano has a wonderful sense of movement and I really love the woven centre to your pear. The colours in that whole pouch just go together so well. Very envious of your throw too!

Your stitching is beautiful! You gave me a great idea with the tablecloth, too. I have several of these from my mother. Maybe for "What If Diaries"?
