And the book -- well, it's going on my wish list from just the little I've seen of it here -- thanks for showing it. I didn't see any hummingbirds when I was there, darn -- but lots of others that I couldn't identify and with such exotic birdsong, almost tropical-sounding.Peggyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18071261854957363637noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-74106743325531544.post-52580642631294759722012-05-07T13:27:05.456-05:002012-05-07T13:27:05.456-05:00it's fun watching everyone's seedlings gro...it's fun watching everyone's seedlings grow in their own time. i have exactly five too. mine are looking ready to transplant, but i'm so worried about disturbing them. sending love to yours.Drucillahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03228978343783804866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-74106743325531544.post-2742046223188212952012-05-07T09:27:49.353-05:002012-05-07T09:27:49.353-05:00Bryan's Japanese Textiles said: Mine have just...Bryan's Japanese Textiles said: Mine have just poked through as well. Reminding me to go and till the field and get it ready for the baby indigo plants next month. I covered a few of the bedding seed trays with a plastic cover and these ones sprouted a week quicker than their friends without a lid. The fallen seeds from winnowing last fall are already three centimeters tall. There is a chance of frost still. I lost a few hundred seedlings a few years ago and keep an eye on the weather so the seed trays can be moved inside. I had to start over again that time and somehow the plants never really took off that year because of the late start. Best of luck.<br />Bryan's comment didn't show up on blogger so i have manually posted it.deanna7treeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02707505639796548961noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-74106743325531544.post-64073127991451273712012-05-07T07:33:16.046-05:002012-05-07T07:33:16.046-05:00I just enlarged the image of the seeds....and went...I just enlarged the image of the seeds....and went.."oooo.....is there a sixth to the left of 4?" :~)))helenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04412509910451805109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-74106743325531544.post-47331172857723044222012-05-07T07:30:04.366-05:002012-05-07T07:30:04.366-05:00Yes...I see them....without enlarging :~)
